dates: June 2-8, 2008, flying out of Houston Hobby on Monday, am, June 2. We will be working with an inner city church, Lee st. Baptist church on Warrent St. This is a church near the inner city harbor. The Pastor is Lyn O'Berry. The community has many young adults, ages 20 to 45 that need to be reached with the Gospel, as well as various ethnic groups in the area as well. Team members will be prayerwalking, witnessing, block parties, evangelism, discipleship, leadership training, children and youth ministries, music outreach and whatever it takes to reach this community for Christ in oder to connect them with this inner city church. The cost is $1,000. per person which includes air fare, housing, ground transportation, insurance, and all fees. A $200, deposit needs to be paid by/ before March 15. Half the balance by April 15, and the balance by May 15. You could wait but the price may increase due to air fare increases beyond our control if you do not follow this schedule FBC, Pearland is going for the second year in a row. They had a very positive experience last year, so they are returning. You may want to discuss the trip with one of their pastors who participated and is going again, Pastor Ray Cox. 2, A second great trip is also available to Pastors, and church leaders in the Houston area as well. STRATEGIC MISSION PARTNERS is leading a great evangelism project in South Central Africa in the city of Lusaka, Zambia. The dates are July 2-16, 2008. We will be working with the 50 Baptist churches in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia. Each team member will be assigned to one of the Baptist churches to witness to people who have been prayed over through the OPERATION ANDREW STRATEGY with daily viistation appointments with evangelistic services each evening. Team members will preach, witness, sing, testify, counsel and minister to adults, youth and children in order to do evangelism, discipleship, leadership training to plant, strengthen, and multipy the churches in the Lusaka area. The cost for the trip is $3,500. per person. A $300. deposit is due April 1. $2,500 second payment is due May 1, and the balance of $700. is due June 1. Prayer for Afework Debebe

Automobile accident

Afework

Afework is facing a long period of recuperation as he learns to walk again. We agree with others that God still has work for Afework or He would have taken him home at the time of the accident. Of those who survived the accident, Afework had the worst injuries. His cousin Robel had one leg broken and also needed surgery. Sammy his youngest brother walked away from the accident. Another friend and fellow-pastor also had a broken leg.

The hospital has asked Afework's family to pay $1000 dollars for the five-hour surgery. There will be other costs related to his stay in the hospital. We are not sure how long that will be or what the cost will be. We have been told it could be as much as $8,000. We have sent $3,000 and will take more when we visit Afework April 1. If you would like to help, please send your check to Innovative at the address below and indicate it is for his medical needs.

Also, and perhaps as important...we would like to take "get well" cards from as many as possible. Please address them to Afework Debebe and send them to him at the address below. These cards will be opened by Afework. Write a note of encouragement and feel free also to enclose a small financial gift that will help meet additional family needs during his time of recuperation.

It is not so important that you know Afework personally or that he knows you. It is important that he knows his brothers and sisters on this side of the ocean are praying for him, his wife Marta, his children, and his extended family.

The trip to Iran was nothing less than exciting and outstanding. Our next trip will be July. We need team members who are certified as ESL teachers or who are willing to be certified before going. It is not a real difficult feat to accomplish!

We leave for Houston in a few hours and will arrive home Friday afternoon. Pray for a safe trip home.
